Dreams

I tried to live all my dreams,
but, it was harder than it seems,
Now they sleep inside my eyes,
More like a long lost paradise.

Dreams get alive again every night,
and appear to be perfectly alright,
Sometimes its very hard to believe,
whether its real or something I perceive.

What's worth every second inside,
is that my heart has nothing to hide,
The only place where there is no secret,
and where my heart has no regret.

For every lie that you ever told,
My heart turned into an ocean so cold,
What else could my heart ever seek,
A dream where, its never so weak.

Tears shed through my eyes like rain,
made me strong to never love again,
I sometimes wonder what hurts more,
Lonely life or I have nothing to fight for.

I never had any clue since the start,
that someday you’ll rip my heart apart,
we were never meant to be together, but,
In my dreams we are together forever.

If dreams are meant for when I am asleep,
Don’t wake me up from heaven so deep,
No matter what I lose on this way,
because from here you never walk away.

What my open eyes could never see,
was shown by beautiful dreams to me,
I got to spend a life in love with you,
No matter if dreams never come true..!

Thank you note!!

They say that an Author is nothing without his/her readers. I personally believe in the saying. So here I am thanking all my blog readers for their appreciations. Thank you so much Tavleen Kaur, Basil, Princy Kurian, Jayashree Tripura, Anadi Sir, Ashish Dadgaa, Komal Panwar, and all the others I have missed out for your appreciations and encouragements over the time.

No writer can write in vacuum. So the writings are always influenced by the surroundings. My writings are no exceptions. I write what I experience, what I see around me, what I feel from the bottom of my heart, sometimes I write what my friends face, etc. And because they are real, people connect to them much easily. People all around me suffer from heartbreaks and other such common feelings like being left out in the crowd. So,  I write about such incidents, it is to make them see a possible solution and work towards it. I believe that together we can make sadness temporary and happiness will be a permanent state then!

When you guys tell me that you found my blog interesting, it gives me a boost to keep writing. Every work of art needs to be commented upon. Critics/ or bad comments helps in improvising while praises help in strengthening one's belief in oneself. So keep them coming. Your reviews, feedback, even a line is essential for me to keep writing more and more.

P.S. - Life seems interesting to write about when you all are there to read about it. ;) And yeah feel free to share your personal experiences like you always do, so that I may include them. Obviously names will be changed if you don't want to be mentioned. :P

Here I am signing off for now,
Love & Laughter,
Ila :)

Just another day..

Finally I am  on the right track. I feel alive. Though everything is new and awkward still I am learning each day. I am maturing as a person. My mum is rather a delicate soul when it comes to me. She somehow cannot see me upset. It pains her deeply to know that I am not feeling good in my new life. Just for her sake, I have finally decided to try and adjust in the new situation; though it seems to be the most difficult task right now.
Problem is I feel isolated in the new college. I feel so like 'odd one out' amongst all the new classmates. Did it ever happen with you too? I feel an eerie sense of remoteness as I enter the college premises. I was disappointed initially and now I have lost all hope. So when today I actually made two three friends, I felt hopeful again. Everything passes and so now I am sure this one year will pass too. It was just a phase; a different place, a different time, and different people having different mindsets. It will take time for me to adjust there but eventually I will be a part of it.
For now, I am happy about the positive start; although it's an awkward beginning. Fingers crossed!!

Jab jab dard ka baadal chhaya
Jab gham ka saya lehraya
Jab aansoo palkon tak aya
Jab yeh tanha dil ghabraya
Humne dil ko ye samjhaya
Dil aakhir tu kyun rota hai
Duniya mein yunhi hota hai
Yeh jo gehre sannaate hain
Waqt ne sabko hi baante hain
Thoda gham hai sabka kissa
Thodi dhoop hai sabka hissa
Aankh teri bekaar hi nam hai
Har pal ek naya mausam hai
Kyun tu aise pal khota hai
Dil aakhir tu kyun rota hai..

The JIP Gang as we call it :)

Mood-spoilers are in love with me, it seems!! They are always around. But this day - Friendship's Day, had to be special. Jayashree and Princy already planned to meet me and ordered me to decide the time and be there at any cost. It was Sunday but I had so many engagements but somehow I could not say 'No' for obvious reasons.

1) It was almost two weeks and we had not met.
2) It was the day for celebrating.
3) I was in a bad mood.
4) I was experiencing awkward things at the new college.
5) I knew I need to relax but was not finding ample time for it.

So I rescheduled everything and we met this evening. Wow!! I feel so refreshed and so 'Me' again. We laughed all the time and so much that everyone was staring at us. We clicked pictures, although interestingly they both are camera conscious. So I have got strict instructions not to post their pictures. I still remember the exact words in which we talked; all the jokes we shared; the anticipations we discussed about; and everything else. Another day has become a memory but I still can giggle about it. The best part is we have decided to meet often now because no other friend can replace the comfort and sweetness of JIP gang!!!
We share something magical. That's why together we are angels! Love you loads :) muuah!!!

P.S. - Here are two pictures from the unforgettable evening that I can safely post! ;)

William Shakespeare on Friendship!

Here's a poem by William Shakespeare dedicated to some special friends, especialls my BFFs. Love you all.

'When to the session of sweet silent thought
I summon up remembrance of things past,
I sigh the lack of many a thing I sought,
And with old woes new wail my dear time's waste:
Then can I drown an eye, unused to flow,
For precious friends hid in death's dateless night,
And weep afresh love's long since cancelled woe,
And moan the expense of many a vanished sight:
Then can I grieve at grievances foregone,
And heavily from woe to woe tell o'er
The sad account of fore-bemoaned moan,
Which I new pay as if not paid before.
But if the while I think on thee, dear friend,
All losses are restored and sorrows end.'

To - Aditya, Princy, Jayashree, Isha, Komal, Vaibhav, Rohit, Jatin, Anadi sir, Saurabh sir, Pawan sir, Santnu sir, and everyone else who has ever been a reason for my smile!!

My funny side! Yes, it exists! :D

Haha! People around me think am forever in pain. That's the only thing I can feel. Guys you are highly mistaken. I love to laugh. They so want me to be happy and this post is to declare that yes I am happy to have you with me. So, here I am sharing some stuff that makes me laugh out and I almost roll over at times ending with a stomache. Well, my imaginary world rocks! Enjoy!

READ AT YOUR OWN RISK … REALLY GROSS STUFF COMING UP !! :P

You are at your place, watching your favorite TV show and enjoying the support of the comfortable cushion on your extremely cozy couch, with TV remote in one hand, while the other hand is busy texting on your cell phone.
All of a sudden, you feel kind of itchy in your ear, so you put down the remote and dig into your ear with the little finger a.k.a pinky and hunt for the priceless fortune that the ear holds in itself. After satisfying yourself with a pleasant gratifying massage for few seconds, you feel some nasty, gross fluidly stuff on your finger. Congratulations! You have just found the hidden treasure that had been lost in your ear for quite some time.
Now comes the moment of truth. You can’t help but to watch the riches that just came out of your ear. You can’t stop wandering about its color and texture. Instincts tell you not to do it but your inquisitive persona compels you to give it a shot. You ponder for a moment but, come on; you are at your home. Who’s watching? So you feast your eyes on one of the nature’s most divine creations: ear wax.
Thus comes the crucial time of verdict. Either you can make the long exhausting commute to the wash room, due to which you may miss the most exciting part of your favorite TV show, or you can simply rub it off against the back of your couch. The decision is totally up to you mate!
